Co-Founder and Chair 2002, 2003, 2006

John Kopanas is part of the first group of twenty students to be accepted into a Software Engineering program in Quebec. His focus within software engineering is people, from bringing passionate people together to working on usability, interaction design, requirements engineering and implementing processes that focus on people. Right now John's focus has been on developing software with the less is more development philosophy.

John co-founded CUSEC because he wanted the opportunity to meet other Canadian students who were as passionate about software engineering as he is. He also wanted the opportunity to meet people he had only read about.

The one thing John does not like to do is write about himself in the 3rd person.
